2026 Summer Festival at Campus Blücher
The 2026 Summer Festival at the Paritätischer Campus Blücher was a day filled with warmth, connection, and lived diversity. From the moment people arrived, the atmosphere was palpable: this was a gathering where people came together to celebrate, exchange ideas, and meet one another with openness and heart. Amidst music from many countries, the joyful laughter of children, and the aromas of a wide variety of dishes, an atmosphere emerged that was truly moving and will be remembered for a long time.
Guests were wonderfully well-catered for: chili con carne, various types of bratwurst, a beautifully arranged cake spread, and specialty coffees and teas invited everyone to sit back and enjoy the moment.
A highlight was the international buffet prepared by the “Neighborhood Mothers” (Stadtteilmütter); its diverse delicacies not only delighted the palate but also told stories of heritage, tradition, and community.
The festival was a perfect symbol of vibrant, intercultural togetherness. People of many nationalities came together—including numerous neighbors (something we were particularly pleased about), clients, residents, staff members, and guests from all the facilities on the campus.
Bridges were built—bridging generations, cultures, life paths, and experiences. Encounters turned into conversations, conversations fostered closeness, and that closeness created a strong sense of solidarity.
A wide range of activities also made the day lively and special. A multilingual Kamishibai storytelling session featuring The Great Word Factory invited children to listen and marvel together. Activities such as face painting, a tin-can alley game, bag painting, wind chime crafting, a scent station, creative sewing projects, and Viking chess allowed children, teenagers, and adults alike to join in, laugh, experiment, and get creative. Additionally, advisory services, a “wish tree,” and a quiz for teens and adults opened up spaces for dialogue, sharing wishes and questions, and gaining new inspiration. What made this summer festival so special was not just the wonderful program, but the feeling of being part of something valuable together. The Paritätischer Campus Blücher proved to be a place where diversity is welcomed, where people are truly seen, and where community can flourish. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped organize, support, and bring this celebration to life. Together, we created a day that fosters connection—open, vibrant, warm, and full of humanity.
