3. General information on data processing

We process personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide this website, handle enquiries or fulfil legal obligations. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, b, c and f GDPR, the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and, for access to information on end devices, the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

4. Website access and server log files

When this website is accessed, technically necessary access data is processed. This may include the IP address, date and time of access, accessed URL, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type, operating system and requesting provider.

Processing is carried out to provide the website technically, to ensure stability and security and to analyse errors. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and functional operation of the website.

5. Hosting

This website is hosted by STRATO. The hosting provider processes personal data insofar as this is technically necessary for the operation of the website. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

6. Locally embedded web fonts

This website uses the Quicksand font. The font files are provided locally on our own web server and are not loaded from servers of Google LLC or other external providers. When the font files are accessed, only the technically necessary access data is processed, as with the general access to this website and its files. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in a consistent and performant presentation of the website.

7. Cookies and consent management

This website uses technically necessary cookies and comparable technologies required for operation, security and display. These include WordPress functions for logged-in users and Real Cookie Banner for managing consents and withdrawals. Technically necessary access to end devices is based on Section 25 para. 2 TDDDG. Where personal data is processed, this is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c and f GDPR.

Optional services are used only if consent has been obtained. The legal basis is then Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Consents can be changed or withdrawn at any time via the cookie settings in the footer.

8. Contact form and contact

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the information you provide. In the contact form, this includes in particular your name, email address and message. Technical data such as the time of the request and server data required for transmission may also be processed.

Processing is carried out to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures; otherwise Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in answering enquiries and communicating with interested persons.

The information submitted through the contact form is sent by email to campus@bluecher26.de and is not additionally stored in WordPress as a form record. Enquiries are deleted once they are no longer required for processing, unless statutory retention obligations apply. To protect against automated spam entries, a hidden honeypot field and a simple calculation question are used; no external CAPTCHA service is used.

9. Events and PDF flyers

The website provides information on events and PDF flyers. When these contents are accessed, the usual access data is processed as with any page view.

10. OpenStreetMap

An interactive map with map tiles from OpenStreetMap is embedded on the contact page. When the map is loaded, the IP address, browser information and technical access data may be transmitted to servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation or participating technical service providers. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in presenting the locations clearly.

11. AccessGO accessibility widget

The AccessGO widget is used to support accessibility. The local WordPress plugin loads a JavaScript widget from widget.accessgo.de when used or interacted with. Technically necessary access data, in particular IP address, browser information and time of access, may be transmitted to AccessGO. According to the provider, the widget is cookie-free. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in making the website easier to use.

12. External links

This website may contain links to external websites. The respective providers are responsible for the content and data protection practices of external websites.

13. Storage period

Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations. Server log data is regularly deleted after the technically and organisationally necessary periods have expired, unless further retention is required for security reasons.

14. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection to certain processing operations (Art. 21 GDPR). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future.

15. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law. In particular, the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information may be competent.
